In a perfect world, Percocet with a 15-year shelf life would be dispensed on the spot. Insubordinate siblings are a rarer — and arguably more destructive — breed, one of the less lovely features of family dynasties. The grievances don’t abate with the adolescent hormones; gratitude extends uneasily across a single generation. And there’s no obvious answer to the question: “Who died and made you king?”  ”
